The grand and divine Vishwanath Dham is being considered as a big boon not only for Kashi but also for the tourism industry of Purvanchal.
The tourism industry of Kashi, which was devastated during the Corona period, has once again stood up strongly. Meanwhile, the dedication of Shrikashi Vishwanath Dham is being considered as a lifeline for the tourism industry. People associated with the tourism industry say that Baba Dham will boost the local economy along with increasing religious and spiritual tourism. Due to this employment opportunities will also increase in Kashi. In such a situation, not only Kashi but people of neighboring districts like Mirzapur, Chandauli, Bhadohi and Sonbhadra will also be benefitted.
After the inauguration of Shrikashi Vishwanath Dham, the number of people coming to Varanasi has increased rapidly.
Gained momentum after 7 months from August
Regional Tourism Officer Kirtiman Srivastava told Dainik Bhaskar that the beginning of the year 2021 was very disappointing due to Corona. Only 20,698 tourists visited Varanasi in the month of January. This trend continued till almost the month of July. Due to this, hotel operators, tour operators, tourist guides and local shopkeepers were also affected. After about 7 months, the situation changed in August and 2,94,777 tourists came to Varanasi. This was a big relief for Kashi’s tourism industry and local economy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said at the Swarved Mahamandir Dham on December 14 that the number of tourists in Kashi has doubled as compared to 2015.
Bomb-bombs in Baba’s city since 4 months
The Regional Tourism Officer said that for the last 4 months, the tourism industry in Baba’s city is a bomb-bomb. In Varanasi, 2,41,646 in the month of September and in the month of October, 3,19,919 tourists visited Kashi. In the month of November also, the number of tourists visiting Kashi has crossed 3 lakhs and in the month of December, the movement of tourists is going on continuously. It is expected that the number of tourists will increase even more in the new year. This will become a great basis for strengthening the local economy.
After the inauguration of Shrikashi Vishwanath Dham, tour operators, tourist guides and hotel operators are also excited that the beginning of the new year will be very good.
Hope is awakened by the changes in Kashi
Rahul Mehta, president of Tourism Welfare Association, said that a lot has changed in Kashi. Baba Dham has become such a grand that everyone wants to come there. Apart from this, serious attention is being paid to basic amenities like cleanliness and vehicle parking. When people come to Kashi, Baba sees the Ganga Aarti after attending the court. Apart from this, along with sailing in the Ganges, go to Sarnath as well as other major temples.
Then, also do purchases from local shopkeepers. In this way, all these things are interconnected with each other and become a solid source of income for all. It is expected that the black shadow of Corona will no longer fall on the tourism industry and the people associated with it will not remain empty handed.
