An intensive ticket checking campaign was launched on Friday on the basis of Banaras – Mau – Shahganj rail section. During this, 217 passengers traveling without tickets were caught. 1,29,885 rupees were collected from these passengers as fine. The members of the investigation team released the passengers traveling without tickets after giving strict instructions.

Ticket checking team members Banaras – Gorakhpur Intercity Express, Chhapra – Surat Tapti Ganga Express, Gorakhpur – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Superfast Express, Gorakhpur – Lokmanya Tilak Kashi Dadar Express, Lucknow – Varanasi City Krishak Express, Gorakhpur – Lokmanya Tilak Godan Express, Banaras – Intensive ticket checking was done in Gorakhpur Intercity Express, Shahganj – Ballia, Ballia – Shahganj, Mau – Prayagraj and Banaras – Bhatni trains. The investigation team included Assistant Commercial Manager (Freight) Jang Bahadur Ram along with 11 ticket inspectors and Railway Protection Force personnel. During the ticket checking drive, there was a long queue at the ticket counters of the stations to collect the tickets.
On the other hand, Sanjeev Sharma, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Varanasi Division has appealed to the common passengers to take care of cleanliness in the station or trains during their journey. Wear mask and follow corona rules. Passengers should be safe by adopting proper corona behavior and keep other passengers safe too. Also, travel by train only by taking a ticket. With this it is also appealed that
