In Ballia, the SWOT team and Dubhad police recovered about 16 boxes of English liquor from two luxury vehicles. According to the police, the value of the recovered liquor is around Rs 8 lakh. After registering a case against the arrested liquor smugglers, the police sent them to jail on Friday.
SWOT in-charge Ajay Yadav and SO Dubhad Rajkumar Singh were present at Janeshwar Mishra Tiraha Beasi at around 1.30 pm on Thursday. Meanwhile, two luxury vehicles going towards Bihar were chased on the basis of suspicion and caught by the police personnel. When the police investigated, eight boxes of English liquor kept in it were recovered.

Police say that four liquor smugglers in vehicles, Ranjit Yadav, resident of Godia Tola of Mufasil police station area of Chapra (Bihar), Rajiv Yadav, resident of Chakrahi of Bihiya police station area of Bhojpur (Bihar) district, Hajipur Nagar area of Vaishali (Bihar) police station. Raju Kushwaha, a resident of Jadua Pokhara, and Vikas Sahu, a resident of Postal Park Road No. 1 of Kankarbagh police station area of Patna (Bihar) city, were arrested.

During interrogation to the police, the accused told that they were taking liquor to the shops and taking them to Bihar. He has been doing this business for a long time. Liquor is banned in Bihar, so they carry liquor through smuggling and sell it at a high price.
