After increasing the cases of corona, people are gathering for vaccination.
Over 600 cases of Omicron have been reported in the country. Corona cases are coming twice daily in Delhi. Noida, the nearest border from Delhi, stands on the cusp of danger. Even after this, 6 lakh people have not got double dose here. Of these, 3 thousand are front line workers (health workers).
Among them, there are about 15 thousand people above 60 years of age, who have not received the second dose. On an average, 6 to 7 thousand vaccinations are being done here every day. No one has the answer to the question of how many days these people will take a double dose at this speed. This situation becomes more serious when a yellow alert has been issued in Delhi regarding Corona.
Additional burden of vaccination of two lakh children
The vaccination of children in the age group of 15 to 18 years is going to start from January 10 in the country. According to the estimates of the Health Department, their number is around 2 lakh. In this situation, applying both the doses to 8 lakh people will be a big challenge for the health department of the district. However, the department is still waiting for the guide line.
People coming from abroad are being screened.
Registration is there, but the mobile number does not match the account
It was told that the vaccine was first given to health workers and front line workers. Most of the people are wrong in the name and even the phone numbers of many people are not matching. In such a situation, there is some difficulty in finding people deprived of the second dose. Dastak campaign is being run for this. The ASHAs have been given the responsibility for this.
No mega camp was run in two months
Even after the third wave of Corona and the growing threat of Omicron, no major mega camp was organized in Noida. On an average only 6 to 7 thousand people are being vaccinated here every day. Whereas the department should have organized mega camps in November and December. Not only this, the speed of investigation is also slow. If the speed of investigation increases, then the number of patients here will also increase.
this was the goal
In the district, 15 lakh 89 thousand 815 people had got the target of administering the first dose of the vaccine. About 20 percent more than the target i.e. 19 lakh 6 thousand 436 people got the dose of corona. Now about 6 lakh people are deprived of the second dose. District Immunization Officer Neeraj Tyagi said that the second dose of Kovid Shield is applied on 84 days. Many people have got the second dose, their data is being mixed. According to the target, the first dose was more, so the difference is about 6 lakh people who have to be vaccinated.
