There is a possibility of workers being buried in the factory due to the fall of the lantern.
In Khurja, Bulandshahr, the lantern of a pottery factory collapsed on Friday morning. About one and a half dozen workers working in the factory were buried under the debris due to the fall of the lens, in which two have died. Efforts are on to rescue the trapped laborers. NDRF team is engaged in rescue work. Police of four nearby police stations including Khurja are also engaged in relief work. As soon as the information was received, all the administrative officers including the District Magistrate, SSP have reached the spot.

Difficulty in rescue work due to excess debris
In the morning at the Naresh Pottery Factory located on the Bulandshahr-Aligarh highway, the lantern suddenly fell down. About one and a half dozen laborers working there were buried due to the fall of the lantern. There was a scream as soon as the lantern fell. The laborers working in the nearby factory started evacuating the laborers buried under the lantern, but due to the high amount of debris, the trapped laborers are facing a lot of difficulty in evacuating them.

Somehow, two laborers were evicted. Both were taken to the local Kailash Hospital, where both were declared brought dead. It is being told that the amount of material used in the pottery over the lens was so much that the lens could not bear it. NDRF team reached on information and is engaged in relief work. Till the writing of the news, the bodies of only two laborers could be retrieved.
