After that Shivpal Singh Yadav formed the Progressive Samajwadi Party before the 2017 assembly elections. But in the 2022 elections, Shivpal Singh Yadav again joined hands with the nephew and joined the SP alliance. However, Akhilesh gave only one seat to Shivpal Yadav’s party, due to which all the office-bearers of PSP resigned collectively.
Seeing their own political future, many leaders joined different parties like from Etawah Sadar. Member of parliament And MLA Raghuraj Singh Shakya and Lucknow’s big Brahmin leader Sharda Pratap Shukla joined BJP. Similarly, Shadab Fatma joined BSP and is also contesting against Om Prakash Rajbhar from Zahoorabad on BSP ticket. All these three leaders were members of the national executive of the Praspa.
