Kanpur: After perfume, shoes in Uttar Pradesh, now the Income Tax Department (IT Raid) has caught sight of the pea trader. The Income Tax Department has raided the premises of pea traders in Kanpur, due to which there has been a stir in the entire area. On intelligence, several teams of Income Tax started raids this morning at the city’s pea businessmen and pea brokerage traders. If sources are to be believed, raids are being conducted on the premises of the pea trader as well as the pulse trader.
If sources are to be believed, five teams of Income Tax raided together in the morning itself and it lasted for five hours. It is being told that many other businessmen are also on the radar of Income Tax Department. However, after the raid that lasted for 5 hours, the Income Tax team took a businessman with them and left.
If sources are to be believed, the officials matched the register and also checked many documents, in which discrepancies were found. At present, the income tax action is going on and no official statement has been issued by the department yet. It will be known only after the disclosure of the Income Tax Department that the team has got its hands in these raids.
Let us tell you that the process of raids started in Uttar Pradesh from Piyush Jain is still going on. Firstly, the Income Tax Department team raided the house of perfume trader Piyush Jain and recovered Rs 197 crore in cash and 23 kg of gold. After this, many more perfume traders including Pushpraj Jain were raided. Not only this, IT also tightened the noose on shoe traders in Agra and raids are still going on for the past several days.
