The Allahabad High Court has expressed displeasure over the absence of the advocates of the Central Government during the hearing of the petitions. The Central Government is a party to the petitions. The court has ordered the Additional Solicitor General to either present himself or appoint a lawyer during the hearing of the petitions.
The hearing was going on in a single bench of Justice Manju Rani Chauhan on the petition filed by the Advance Education Society. The central government is also a party in this. No advocate was present on behalf of the Centre. On this, the court directed the petitioner to submit its representation to the concerned department. At the same time, the court directed the Additional Solicitor General, Government of India, that in future, during the hearing of those petitions, in which the Central Government is also a party, he should be present himself or appoint one of his advocates.
The petition was filed for recognition of D.L.Ed Education Special Course. The petitioner said that despite completing all the formalities, the institute is not being recognized for the course. The court, along with a copy of its order, has disposed of giving a representation to the concerned department and directing the department to take a decision on it.
