The demand letter addressed to the Chief Minister was handed over to the district administration. He has told that if there is no initiative on the demands, he will be forced to launch a big agitation.
The ASHA workers, who are protesting under the banner of ASHA Workers Association, said that ASHA is responsible for providing health benefits to the people of the village. Asha has been serving for about 15 years. But till now the honorarium has not been announced to them. District President of the organization Jamirunnisha said that even in the Corona epidemic, the workers have done the work of providing health benefits to the people by risking their lives. But even after assurance, honorarium has not been announced yet.
There will be agitation till the demands are not met
He said that till the grant of state employee status, his 18,000 honorarium, benefit of Ayushman Bharat scheme and accident insurance would be extended till 10 lakh. If prompt action is not taken on the demands, then ASHA workers will be compelled to launch a massive agitation. A large number of ASHA workers including Sadhna, Vimala, Vindravati, Uma, Sunita, Sharda, Seema, Soni and Sharda were involved here.
