Reddy had said at a press conference here on Friday that the idols of Lord Ganesha, the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya and replicas of the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi are also among the gifts presented to the prime minister, which will be e-auctioned. The proceeds from the e-auction will be donated to the ‘Namami Gange’ mission.
Sculptor Arun Yogiraj, who built a grand statue of Jagadguru Shankaracharya at Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand, met Prime Minister Modi in April this year and presented him a model of a two-feet tall statue of Netaji made of monolithic stone. .
Reddy said gifts presented by the players to the Prime Minister on various occasions will also be part of the auction. An official said that 24 such gifts will be auctioned.
The auction will end on October 2. Some of the gifts have been put on display at the National Museum of Modern Art.
