At present, about 90 cases are registered against SP MLA Azam Khan from Rampur Sadar seat on various charges including corruption and illegal occupation. He was in Sitapur jail for about 27 months. Earlier this year, he was released on interim bail on the orders of the Supreme Court. Another case was registered against Azam Khan in Rampur’s Mohammad Ali Jauhar University on Tuesday for allegedly hiding it by using a municipal machine. (agency)
