Azamgarh. In Azamgarh, UP, a BJP leader is not satisfied with the administrative officers in his own government. In Ambedkar Park of the district, BJP’s District Minister Mahendra Maurya has sat on a dharna demanding the removal of encroachments on the historic lakes, reservoirs and their restoration at Mehnagar in the district. He has accused the District Magistrate of not hearing the matter. The matter of sitting on dharna against the administration in his own government has become a matter of discussion.
Let us tell you that the District Minister of Bharatiya Janata Party has been demanding for the last several days to remove the illegal occupation of the historical water bodies here. He also demanded restoration of ancient water bodies. When this was not heard, he was compelled to sit on a dharna against the district administration. This proves that the work is not being done on the ground or the officials are not listening to the BJP office bearers.
Due to this, on Tuesday, in front of the District Magistrate’s office, Dr. Ambedkar Park, Bharatiya Janata Party’s District Minister Mahendra Maurya staged a dharna. He told that even before this he had staged a sit-in for his demands, so the officials had assured to solve the problems in 15 days, but nothing has happened on the ground yet.
The BJP District Minister accused the DM of not working and said that he had demanded restoration of historic lakes, water bodies located in Mehnagar district along with removal of encroachments, but only got false assurances. Being tired, he has once again sat on the dharna. This time he will go on strike till the demands are not met. He said that such an officer should be removed from the district. At present, the matter of sitting on a dharna against the administration in his own government remained a topic of discussion throughout the day.
