Roadways buses of Rohilkhand depot and Bareilly depot are ready for Diwali festival. While 196 buses are being operated from Rohilkhand depot to carry daily rides, 198 buses are being operated from Bareilly depot, but 200 buses of roadways were run by Rohilkhand depot to ensure that the passengers do not face problems on Diwali, Bhaidooj etc. Although the authorities may have arranged for additional buses, but since Thursday morning, the situation was such that the daily passenger buses were running short of passengers. That the buses were going to their destination after taking 5 to 7 rides.
Passengers left only on Wednesday
Roadways officials said that buses were deployed in abundance. By late Wednesday night, all the buses were full till their respective destinations. Alam was that some of the riders left standing. According to the roadways employees, till late Wednesday night, the passengers kept coming and going to their destination. Therefore, on the day of Diwali, the number of passengers is less.
About 400 buses on duty
According to the roadways officials, about 400 buses were pressed for duty. Buses are ready to take passengers low lane from morning.
