The police-administration has attached a total of 9 crore 15 lakh 30 thousand properties of a smuggler. The whole matter is of Kharsatiya village of Haidergarh Kotwali. This action has been taken against the notorious drug smuggler Dev Shankar Mishra living here. Mishra’s assets worth 9 crore 15 lakh 30 thousand have been attached by the Barabanki police-administration by taking joint action. A case is registered against smuggler Devshankar Mishra in Haidergarh police station of Barabanki under 14(1) Gangster Act. Dev Shankar Mishra has six criminal cases registered against him including illegal drug trade and gangster. According to the police, the organized gang of Dev Shankar Mishra is working to acquire illegal property by smuggling.
In fact, on March 31, 2021, in Barabanki, the then Haidergarh Kotwal Omvir Singh had filed a case under the Gangster Act. The accused were smuggler Devshankar Mishra, Raj Bahadur Singh alias Raju Singh, son of Ramesh Singh of Shivgarh Gumawan in Rae Bareli and Santosh Maurya, son of Nagiamau Budhram Maurya of Shivratanganj, Amethi. Under the Gangster Act itself, the administration identified the property acquired by doing drug business.
Barabanki District Magistrate Dr. Adarsh Singh said that a case was registered against smuggler Devshankar Mishra under the 14(1) Gangster Act at Haidergarh police station in Barabanki. The properties acquired by the gang that have been attached are Panchavati Dhaba, land in Kharsatiya, land purchased in Haidergarh in the name of wife, house, two bank accounts, a Mahindra SUV car, whose total value is 9 crore 15 lakh 30 thousand. 999 is Rs.
