The metro project will be completed in two phases and will have two corridors. There will be a total of 30 metro stations in both the 32.6 km long corridors of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project. The statement said that 974 passengers will be able to travel at a time in the metro and the speed of the train will be 80 to 90 kilometers per hour. According to this, the length of the first corridor will be 24 km from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to Naubasta.
