Patna. Rashtriya Janata Dal has adopted a tough stand against anti-party activities. Former MLA Gulab Yadav and former MLA Maheshwar Singh have been expelled from the party for 6 years for being involved in anti-party activities. Both the former MLAs were found guilty of working against the party while being in the RJD. Gulab Yadav has been MLA from Jhanjharpur while from Maheshwar he has been MLA from Harsiddhi in East Champaran. While issuing a letter to both the former MLAs, RJD’s state president Jagdanand Singh issued an order to expel them from the party for 6 years.
State President Jagdanand Singh, showing the way out of the party, said that in the Legislative Council elections, campaigning is to be done in favor of the declared candidate of the party, but both the leaders started campaigning against the party candidate. Taking this tough decision, the party has given a strong message to everyone after the Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav refuses to accept it.
Allegations of working against the Legislative Council elections
Gulab Yadav, a former MLA from Jhanjharpur and Maheshwar Singh, a former MLA from Harsiddhi in East Champaran, have both been found guilty of working against the party’s candidate in the Legislative Council elections. It is worth mentioning that Maheshwar Singh had joined RJD a few months ago after leaving JDU and was claiming candidature for the elections to be held from the local body of the Legislative Council.
From East Champaran, RJD gave ticket to Rajesh Kumar Roshan alias Bablu Dev by not giving to Maheshwar Singh, due to which Maheshwar Singh was said to be angry. He was expelled from the party for 6 years after the allegations of helping another candidate instead of the RJD candidate were proved.
The same situation kept on claiming for the ticket of Gulab Yadav, but after not getting the ticket, he had said after putting his wife in the election. Despite the party’s refusal, he was shown the way out of the party for being involved in anti-party activities.
