Big preparation to change the image of PWD: Minister holds meeting with officials regarding 100-day agenda, condition of roads will improve, friendship gate will be built on Indo-Nepal border.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department is preparing an agenda to change its image. Minister of the department Jitin Prasada has prepared an action plan to improve the health of the roads with the department after meeting with the officials. The minister has given instructions to make 50 big schemes of the department as a model, in the same manner, to do the rest of the projects on time. Along with this, instructions have also been given to build a grand friendship gate on the Indo-Nepa border.

PWD Minister Jitin Prasada has set a target to complete most of the schemes before the year 2024. It is clear that before the Lok Sabha elections, the PWD department will complete all its big plans. MoU with Railways has sought proposals for construction of ROBs at all level crossings having more than one lakh TVUs.

The minister said that whatever proposals are being received through public representatives, they should be included in the agenda. Prasad said that the construction work should be done according to the standard and no laxity should be taken. While surveying the routes connecting two national highways should be sent to the Government of India for approval to be declared as a national route.

With this, Minister of PWD Department, Jitin Prasad said that the work of many projects of the department has been stopped due to forest land, for this, a meeting should be started with the officers of the Forest Department. Encroachments should be removed from the side of the roads so that the roads are not blocked. Not only this, the Minister also stressed on making transparent arrangements for redressal of grievances of the general public.

Minister’s experience of central ministries stirred up officers

The experience of Jitin Prasad’s central ministries has created a stir among the PWD officers. As soon as he took over the PWD department, along with summoning the details of departmental works from the officers, he has started tightening the screws of the negating officers. Apart from this, the action has been expedited on the engineers of PWD deputation in the construction corporation for years. At the same time, the investigation of the people sitting in the construction corporation as the polytechnic teacher GM has started.
