In the seven assembly seats of Bulandshahr, the BJP has waved its flag. After the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP has won all the seven seats in 2022 as well. The BJP has won unilateral elections in five assembly seats of the district. Whereas only Secunderabad and Sadar assembly seats saw a close contest.
BJP left in the last two rounds
In the final round, BJP won the Sadar seat and Secunderabad seat. In the district’s Shikarpur, Anupshahr, Khurja, Sayana and Dibai, the BJP won unilaterally, while Secunderabad and Sadar seats were won by the BJP.
Clean sweep done again and again
In the 2017 assembly elections also, the BJP had done a clean sweep in all the seven assembly seats of the district. In 2022, the BJP fielded new faces by cutting the tickets of four sitting MLAs. BJP did a clean sweep in the second consecutive assembly elections as well. K Pradeep Chaudhary defeated Haji Yunus of RLD, Meenakshi Singh of BJP defeated Banshi Pahadia of SP from Khurja.
