Sushil Singh became MLA for the fourth time in a row by blooming lotus once again in Saidaraja of Chandauli. He won the Syedaraja assembly seat by securing 87 thousand 891 votes. His nearest rival Manoj Kumar Singh W got 76 Thousand 974 votes. Whereas BSP candidate had to be satisfied with only 36 thousand 848 votes. Prior to this, Sushil became MLA by defeating Prabhu Narayan Singh Yadav of SP in 2012 and 2007 elections.

In the initial seven phases of counting, the SP candidate had maintained a marginal lead. In the eighth round of counting, Sushil took the lead. After this, as the counting of votes progressed, the difference between Sushil’s votes increased. He defeated SP candidate Manoj Singh W by 10 thousand 917 votes and defeated him once again. Congress’s Vimala got 2155, Ramesh Kumar 749, Shahzama Khan Shahi 1749, Siddharth Pranbahu 406, Suresh Singh 293, Neelu Singh 428, Ramesh 260 and Ravindra got 613 votes.
1645 pressed the button of NOTA
1645 voters rejected the candidates in the Syedaraja assembly. Instead of voting for any candidate, he pressed the NOTA button. A total of 2 lakh 10 thousand 348 votes were cast in the assembly. Of this, 315 were considered illegal. The remaining votes are added to the account of the candidates.

In the 2007 elections, Sushil Singh defeated Prabhu Narayan by about 4800 votes and snatched the MLA’s chair from him. In the 2012 assembly elections, Sushil and Prabhunarayan were face to face from Sakaldiha assembly. Sushil once again defeated Prabhunarayan as an independent candidate.
Sushil Singh got 66,509 votes and Prabhunarayan got 59661 votes. While Ram Bihari Choubey of BSP had to be satisfied with 42,818 votes. In the 2017 assembly elections, he had won from the Sayedaraja assembly seat. Once again won the title of his popularity by winning from Syedaraja.
