New Delhi. National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and National Highways Authority of India both the agencies have created a record in Ghaziabad. While NCRTC has slowly moved and launched the heaviest arched bridge ever, NHAI has recently set a single span steel truss bridge launch record of 2352 tonnes for Rail Over Bridge (ROB) on Delhi Meerut Expressway. The works of both are unmatched examples of engineering.
National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has created a record in the second section of Rapid Rail between Duhai to Meerut. The 875-ton arched bridge passing over the Eastern Peripheral Expressway on the Delhi-Meerut Highway was successfully installed. The team of engineers has launched a 73 meter long steel heavy bridge at a height of 16 meters.

The arched heavy bridge is installed by sliding it with the help of roller. NCRTC had earlier installed a bridge weighing 850 tonnes at a height of 10 meters over the main line of the railway near Vasundhara. Along with this, the construction work of 150 meters long and weighing 3200 tons of arched bridge between two pillars is going on at a fast pace. The heaviest bridge of the corridor will pass at the bottom of the GT Road, then the flyover, then over the metro line.

At the same time, recently the heaviest single span has been kept in ROB near Chipyana on Delhi Meerut Expressway. There is a 2352 ton single span steel truss bridge on four lanes. NHAI officials claim that this is the heaviest single span truss bridge in the country to be placed on the ROB. This bridge came to the site in different parts and here its parts have been prepared by connecting them together. It is a 115 meter long truss bridge.
