SP candidate Shyam Sundar Singh arrived in Jhansi to file nomination in RO office.
Samajwadi Party has fielded former MLC Shyam Sunder Singh Yadav from Jhansi-Lalitpur-Jalaun constituency for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections. Shyam Sundar Singh filed his nomination on Wednesday. Prior to this he has been MLC twice. Samajwadi Party has fielded him for the third time. He reached to file his nomination along with ten of his proposers and supporters.
SP’s seat increased in the state
During the nomination, Shyam Sunder Singh Yadav said that the socialists have won moral victory in the assembly elections. With the struggle of socialist workers and leaders and the cooperation of the people, the Samajwadi Party is increasing and the BJP has decreased. SP’s seats have increased in the state. National President Akhilesh Yadav made him the candidate of MLC for the third time.
All eyes on BJP candidate
So far only SP has declared its candidate. No other party fielded a candidate. All eyes are on BJP. The current MLC Rama Niranjan had left the SP and joined the BJP before the elections.
In such a situation, apart from Rama Niranjan, many leaders are demanding MLC ticket from BJP. Those who could not get MLA ticket are also pushing for MLC ticket.
SP won one seat out of 9 in the assembly
Recently the assembly elections have been completed. In all the 6 seats of Jhansi and Lalitpur, the BJP has hoisted the flag, while in Jalaun, the BJP has won two out of three and the SP has won one seat. There are MLC elections immediately after the assembly elections, so all eyes are on the MLC elections.
