The Parliamentary Strategy Group of the Congress held a meeting under the chairmanship of party interim president Sonia Gandhi through video conferencing on Friday. The meeting was held in view of the budget session of Parliament starting next week.
According to reports, it was decided in the meeting that in the coming session corona virus Issues like relief package to the victims of the disease (Kovid-19), disinvestment of Air India, inflation, border dispute with China and farmers’ concerns will be raised. It was also decided that the Congress would coordinate with like-minded parties on issues.
Congress Parliamentary Strategy Group meeting was attended by senior party MPs AK Antony, KC Venugopal, Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Anand Sharma, Gaurav Gogoi, K Suresh, Jairam Ramesh, Manickam Tagore and Manish Tewari among others.
Let us tell you that the budget for the financial year 2022-23 will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1, 2022. This will be his fourth budget. This time also the budget will be paperless. In a historic initiative, the budget for 2021-22 was presented in a paperless format for the first time. The ‘Union Budget Mobile App’ was also introduced to ensure easy access to budget documents for the Parliamentarians and the general public.
