There was an atmosphere of desperation among the Congressmen after losing badly in all the seven assembly seats of Bulandshahr. After losing one round after another, Congress candidates and workers started leaving the counting place. Even before the results were declared, the Congress workers were demoralized.
Congress ranked fourth
In Anupshahr and Sayana assembly seats, the Congress hoped that its candidates would perform well, but it did not happen. In all the seven assembly constituencies, the Congress candidates stood at number four. None of the candidates could contest the election with stamina.
