Maharashtra
167 cases of Omicron variants have been reported in Maharashtra and 2172 cases of corona virus infection were registered on Tuesday. The state government has imposed section 144 in Mumbai till the midnight of December 31. During this there will be no social gathering or party in the beach and restaurant. At the same time, the local government in Nagpur has banned partying in public and private places.
Tamil Nadu
In Tamil Nadu, no celebration will be allowed on the seashore and in public places. Also, hotels and restaurants will be closed till 11 pm. The state police gave information about this. Till Wednesday, 45 cases of Omicron have come in the state. Apart from this, 619 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in the state.
Goa
Only people coming to Goa with a negative report of vaccinated or corona will be allowed to come to the party or restaurant. CM Pramod Sawant has made this order legally mandatory. He said that the people organizing the party will have to ensure that these rules are followed. Casinos, cinema halls, auditoriums, river cruises, water parks and other entertainment centers will operate with 50 percent capacity.
Apart from this, only citizens who come with negative reports of corona vaccinated or Kovid-19 will be given entry into the state. The Goa government has imposed night curfew in the maritime area on Tuesday.
Delhi
In view of the increasing cases of corona, the Delhi government has issued a yellow alert in the capital. Due to this, social and festive gatherings have been banned. So far 238 cases of Omicron variants have been reported in Delhi, which is the highest in the country. Apart from this, malls will be opened from 10 am to 8 pm under the odd-even formula for shops and other non-essential items. Night curfew will continue in the capital from 10 pm to 5 am till further orders.
Gujarat
Night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am has been extended till December 31. Gyms and restaurants have been allowed to open with 75 percent capacity. Night curfew will remain in force in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Gandhinagar and Junagadh. After Maharashtra, Gujarat is at number three in the country in terms of cases of Omicron variants.
Karnataka
In Karnataka, the state government has imposed night curfew for 10 days from 28 December. During this, restrictions will be applicable from 10 pm to 5 pm and New Year celebrations will be prohibited in the state. Health Minister K Sudhakar said that there will be a ban on any kind of celebration in public places in the state. During this there will be a ban on the use of DJ and crowd of people. In Karnataka, hotels, pubs and restaurants will be allowed to operate with 50 percent capacity.
Telangana
The Telangana government has implemented the restrictions related to Kovid-19 till January 2 on the order of the High Court. During this, there will be a ban on rallies and public meetings. However, there is no order of ban on New Year’s celebration so far. 62 cases of Omicron have been reported in the state.
Chhattisgarh
The state government has issued new guidelines for the celebration of the new year, social and religious events. Under this, people will be allowed to do festivals and other programs with 50 percent capacity.
West Bengal
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has asked officials to review the situation related to Kovid-19 in the state. However, the government has given some relaxation in restrictions regarding the celebration of the new year. But the existing restrictions from 11 pm to 5 am will remain in force till January 15, except for the New Year celebrations.
Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur ordered senior officials to ensure compliance of the rules related to COVID-19 during the New Year celebrations in the state. Orders have been given for the people coming to all the tourist centers of the state to follow the restrictions related to Corona. At the same time, instructions have also been given to increase the testing of corona virus in the state.
Uttar Pradesh
Night curfew has been imposed in all the cities of the state from 11 pm to 5 am. All the district officers have been asked to ensure the compliance of Kovid-19 rules in the state. At the same time, only 200 guests have been allowed to come to the weddings in the state.
Madhya Pradesh
Night curfew has been implemented in MP from 9 pm to 5 am. Instructions have been given to take extra precautions and vigilance in all the big cities of the state.
A state in Eastern India
In Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has refused to implement any kind of restrictions related to Corona. He said that there is no need for this in the state right now.
Kerala
In view of the increasing cases of Kovid-19, any kind of religious, social, political and cultural programs have been banned in the state from 30 December to 2 January from 10 pm to 5 am.
Rajasthan
Night curfew has been imposed in Rajasthan from 11 pm to 5 am. The Ashok Gehlot government has made it legally mandatory for all citizens of the state to take both doses of the corona vaccine by January 31.
Puducherry
The Madras High Court on Wednesday allowed the New Year celebrations in Puducherry. But during this time the sale of liquor has been banned. The court said in its order that the sale of liquor will be banned from 10 pm on 31 December to 1 pm on 1 January.
