Under the assembly elections in Gonda, on February 27, a three-day cricket tournament was started at Nehru Stadium in the city under voter awareness program SVEEP for record voting in the district.
On this occasion, DM Dr. Ujjwal Kumar, SP Santosh Mishra and CDO Shashank Tripathi made the youth aware of voting while batting with great enthusiasm. On the bowling of CDO, DM Ujjwal Kumar batted well, while SP SK Mishra hit many fours and sixes on DM’s bowling. After this, DM, SP and CDO appealed for maximum votes by playing badminton.
Before the start of the tournament, the DM got acquainted with the players. After this, the tournament started with the toss. During the introduction, it was told by the Chief Development Officer that a total of five teams namely Stadium XI, Nindura Cricket Club, Shalimar Cricket Club, Stadium Junior Team and Adam Gondvi Cricket Club are participating in the tournament. He said that the tournament will end on February 22. After the inauguration of the tournament, DM also inaugurated the selfie point by cutting the lace.
