Radheshyam Vanvasi alias Makalu (42) resident of the forest dwelling settlement of Birbhanpur had gone to Rajatalab market to buy clothes for his children. Taking clothes, he was crossing the National Highway and going towards the block. At the same time, a vehicle going from Mirzamurad’s side to Varanasi hit him and sped away. The critically injured Makalu was taken to a private hospital in Rohaniya for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.

The relatives told that Makalu used to work as a forest dweller. Makalu was the father of three girls and two boys. His wife Sharda Devi, mother Deura Devi and boys and girls were in a bad condition. Regarding the incident, outpost in-charge Rajatalab Harikesh Singh said that a case has been registered against the unknown driver on the basis of the Tahrir of Makalu’s son Mukesh.
