He shared a 110-run partnership with Priyank Panchal for the first wicket. Panchal scored 40 runs. After this, Jaisawal shared a 169-run partnership with Shreyas Iyer for the third wicket and strengthened the team with an unbroken 58-run partnership with Sarfaraz Khan for the fourth wicket. Shreyas Iyer scored 71 runs in the second innings and hit 4 fours and 2 sixes in 113 balls. While Sarfaraz is present at the crease with Jaiswal scoring 30 runs.
Ajinkya Rahane failed in the second innings too
Earlier, South Zone started the day with 318 runs for seven wickets but their entire innings was reduced with only 9 runs in it. Western Zone captain Ajinkya Rahane, who scored just 8 runs in the first innings, failed in the second innings as well. He scored only 15 runs.
West Zone will try to declare the innings soon
