Mahadevi Ghat i.e. Mehndighat of Kannauj district got a view like Assi Ghat of Banaras today. At this historic Mahadevi Ghat here, Minister Aseem Arun performed the aarti of Mother Ganga along with 125 priests. The aarti went on for about an hour. Along with senior officers, dignitaries of the city also participated in the aarti.

Aarti on the banks of the mother Ganga reminded people of Maharati to be held at Assi Ghat in Banaras. The minister says that soon pollution-free lamps will be shed in the Ganga.
