Electric buses started on Tuesday after a long wait in Jhansi. So far 5 buses have been started on 4 routes. The longest route in this is from Chirgaon to Babina. 65 rupees will have to be paid to travel on this route, about 55 km long. In this, passengers will be able to enjoy AC in summer with a comfortable seat. CCTV cameras are also installed for security.
Jhansi Smart City Limited and City Transport Services Limited will operate the electric buses. According to the plan, 25 electric buses are proposed to come up in Jhansi. Out of this 15 buses have arrived. Rest 10 buses are being prepared. They will be run by fixing the route soon. After this 10 more buses will come.
3 km. K 5 and 14 km. will cost 22 rupees
RM Sandeep Aggarwal told that the travel fee is very less. Rs 5 for 3 kms and Rs 10 for 6 kms. Apart from this, Rs 15 for 6 to 10 km and Rs 22 for 10 to 14 km will be charged. The lowest fare will be Rs 5 and the highest fare will be Rs 65. On Tuesday, two buses have been started on Chirgaon to Babina route, one bus from Jhalkari Bai to Kochhabhanwar, one bus from Kochhabhanwar railway station and one bus to the city.
Charge will be done in half an hour, 130 km. will run
Charging station for battery operated electric bus has been built in Kochhabhanwar. Here 3 charging points have started and the remaining two will start soon. The battery will be fully charged in half an hour. If you charge from one point, then it will take an hour for full charge. On a single charge, the bus will run for about 130 km.
MP-MLA and Mayor launched
On Tuesday, MP Anurag Sharma, Mayor Ramtirth Singhal, MLA Ravi Sharma launched electric buses by reaching the electric bus charging station located in Kochhabhanwar. The MP said that there will be no pollution due to the operation of these buses. Also the rent will be less. On this occasion former MLC Rama Niranjan, Municipal Commissioner Avnish Kumar Rai, ADM Finance and Revenue Ram Akshaywar Chauhan, SP Rural Naipal Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner Shadab Aslam etc. were present.
