Hardoi. Four vicious robbers have been arrested in an encounter between police and miscreants in Mallawan Kotwali area of Hardoi, UP. The police have also recovered the car, bike, pistol and cartridges used in the robbery, apart from the jewellery, looted from the jewelers in Mallawan area. However, 3 accomplices of the miscreants are still absconding and the police are searching for them. Whereas before this, two miscreants have been sent to jail in the encounter.
Disclosing the matter, Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi said that on April 5, Umesh, who runs a jeweler’s shop in Matiyamau of Mallawan Kotwali area, was robbed of a bag full of jewelery by bike and car-riding miscreants. Thereafter the miscreants fled away. SWAT Surveillance SOG and Crime Branch team were engaged for the disclosure of the incident of robbery by registering an FIR of this entire matter. Additional Superintendent of Police Eastern CO Bilgram along with other people were also engaged under his direction for the revelations. The SP said that all the teams got information from the informer that a car is coming from Gausganj towards Mallawan, in which some suspicious people are present. On this information, the police laid siege on Khurda Madarpur road near Sai river bridge.
The miscreants opened fire on stopping the car
The SP said that after some time a white car was seen coming towards Gausganj. When he was stopped, the miscreants opened fire on the police. The police arrested 4 people while defending in some way. According to the SP, the four miscreants have been identified as Rahul Singh, Rahees, Usman and Manish Pratap Singh alias MP. At the same time, his 3 accomplices Isaac, Dilshad and Rubil are absconding. Police is looking for them. Even before this, during the encounter, the police had arrested two miscreants Ajit Kumar alias Monu and Vikas Kumar with 1 kg 500 grams of jewellery, in which Ajit Kumar was shot. The police have recovered a bike and a car used in the incident, apart from the silver jewelery looted from the jewelers from the four miscreants.
