Ghaziabad. A massive fire broke out in the slums of Kanavani in Indirapuram area of the district on Monday afternoon. A nearby cowshed also came under its grip, due to which more than 40 cows were burnt. Dozens of fire tenders brought the fire under control in more than five hours. However, the exact number of cows is not known yet. Police administration team is busy at the spot.
According to the information, a huge fire broke out on the slums of Kanavani village in the afternoon. Hundreds of slums came under fire. Cylinders kept in people’s houses also came under fire, which further flared up. Soon the fire engulfed the entire slum, causing panic in the surroundings. The fire also reached the Gaushala built near the slums. All the cows came in the grip of fire. People informed the fire brigade. Dozens of fire tenders reached the spot. The fire was brought under control in more than five hours.

According to Suraj, the director of Shri Krishna Seva Gaushala Trust, told that there were more than 100 cows in his Gaushala at the time of the accident. Of these, more than 40 cows are likely to die in the fire. It is being told that the place of the accident is the warehouse of the gas cylinder. It is being said that more than 10 gas cylinders exploded during the fire. In these, 2 big and 8 small burnt cylinders have been recovered. Police and administration team has reached the spot.
