On Friday, at Atal Ghat in Kanpur, Fisheries Minister Dr. Sanjay Kumar Nishad floated dead fish in the Ganges. As soon as the fish were flown in the Ganges under the Matsya Angulika Ratching Program, hundreds of fish came out dead. As soon as it fell into the water, the dead fish remained on the surface of the water. In the scorching heat, fishes kept in plastic packets died.

Sensing the situation, the minister said that the fish should flow as soon as possible. On the occasion, the Minister expressed displeasure with Assistant Director Fisheries NK Agrawal for getting the dead fish flown. About 40 thousand fish were claimed to have flown.

Human error said in the death of fish
Dr. Sanjay Kumar Nishad while talking to the reporters said that hunting in the Ganges is banned for two months. If someone caught fish by putting a net, then action is fixed on him. Rohu, Katla, Mangal Vata and Bata fish living in the Ganges have been flown. Will speak on the matter of floating dead fish, it is human error. Said that next time I will come for surprise inspection of the city. If the insurance of any fish seller is not found, then action is decided against the officer.

Seeing the fish dying in the scorching heat, earlier more than half the fish were flown into the Ganges. Packets full of fish were kept in the sun on the banks of the Ganges, waiting for the minister. Due to the late arrival of the minister, the temperature of the water in the polythene rose rapidly, due to which many fish died.
