Lucknow. Former minister and personal secretary of SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya, Armaan Khan was arrested by UP STF on Thursday from near PG College in Lucknow along with his associates. Armaan Khan and his associates are accused of duping unemployed youths of crores of rupees in the name of getting government jobs. STF has arrested Faizi, Asghar, Vishal and Amit along with Armaan. 57 signed checks have also been recovered from the accused. Apart from this, 5 fake ID cards, 22 fake appointment letters and all other educational certificates and mark sheets have been recovered. Along with this, XUV700 vehicle without number and without signature secretariat pass has also been recovered.
According to the STF, the arrested accused Armaan Khan has been the personal secretary of former minister Swami Prasad Maurya. His salary has been released by the Labor Department. He used his office for advisors etc. Because of which he used to introduce various students to the minister from time to time. According to the STF, his main accomplice in this organized crime of cheating was Asghar Ali, who is a resident of Deoria. He has been working on outsourcing in many departments. Asghar Ali used to easily enter the secretariat because of Armaan. He used to implicate the students through Jameel.

According to the information received from the STF, the third accused Faizi was given by Armaan to the UV Tech company vendor doing the work of digitization in the secretariat. He also had good information about government jobs. The fourth accused, Vishal Gupta, used to influence the students by showing himself in touch with the ministers. Apart from this, he was the mastermind of recruitment and vacancies in government jobs. Fifth accused Amit Rai joined this group through Armaan and Faizi. He used to take money from students through Asghar. The STF is now engaged in gathering information about other members of this gang as well.
