ADG had inspected the Cantt police station just a few days ago. Where he saw the condition of the abandoned vehicles.
In the police stations of Gorakhpur zone of Uttar Pradesh, the vehicles which have been seized in the cases are rotting. About 1 lakh vehicles are kept in 179 police stations of 11 districts of Gorakhpur zone. There are many such vehicles in these vehicles whose cases have been settled, but the vehicles have not been released. Due to which many new vehicles have become junk. Some vehicles are lying in many police stations for 20 to 20 years. In view of this, the ADG Zone has prepared a plan. Now a list of these vehicles will be prepared and a special team of the district will be formed and the vehicles will be auctioned or disposed of.
A police station-wise list of the cases disposed of will be prepared as well as the data of vehicles and confiscated goods related to it will be prepared.
First Head Muharrir will assess the status of the cases
In the first phase of the scheme, the head of each police station will assess the status of cases related to Muharrir vehicles. They will find out whether the case is under trial or has been disposed of. A police station-wise list of the cases disposed of will be prepared as well as the data of vehicles and confiscated goods related to it will be prepared. This data will be filtered and sent to the SSP or SP of the district.
Special team will solve
In the second phase, a special team will be formed at the district level under the leadership of Additional SP and CO. On the basis of the list received, the unclaimed vehicles or goods will be auctioned, as well as if there is liquor etc., then it will be disposed of.
A year ago, by making a plan, arrangements were made to keep these unclaimed vehicles as yards in Police Lines.
Policemen walk even with confiscated vehicles
However, many times it is also a complaint that the Thanedar or other policemen start using these unclaimed vehicles that have been seized. Such a complaint had once come to Khorabar and once to Sahajanwan police. At the same time, due to these vehicles, there is no space left in many police stations. A year ago, by making a plan, arrangements were made to keep these unclaimed vehicles as yards in Police Lines. Where many vehicles of Cantt and Kotwali police station were also sent. But the plan did not work.
ADG had inspected the Cantt police station just a few days ago. Where he saw the condition of the abandoned vehicles. After which he made this plan. Soon it will be implemented at the ground level. Due to which there will be no shortage of space in the police stations.
