Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inspected the dedicated Kovid Hospital and Regional Medical Research Center (RMRC) lab of BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur and inquired about the arrangements for treatment and investigation. During the inspection, he was satisfied to see the arrangement for investigation and treatment and said that there is complete arrangement for corona examination and treatment.
CM Yogi, who reached the Medical College on Saturday afternoon, first reached the Dedicated Kovid Hospital with a capacity of five hundred beds. Here he asked the employees posted in the control room about their functioning. He also saw the treatment of patients admitted with the monitor installed in the control room. It was told that there are a total of 20 Kovid positive recruits. Of these, 12 are from Gorakhpur and the rest are from other districts and border areas.
There should be no hesitation in treatment
The Chief Minister directed the officers of the administrative and health departments present together that all kinds of resources have been provided by the government. Therefore, there should be no laxity in the treatment. After taking stock of the dedicated Kovid Hospital, CM Yogi reached the Liquid Oxygen Plant and inquired about the arrangements here. After this, he went to inspect the lab of the Regional Medical Research Center. Told the Chief Minister that state-of-the-art machines are available here for testing. The facility of ten thousand corona tests per day from RTPCR is available here. CM Yogi expressed satisfaction over the system of investigation and the capacity here.
Getting infected soon in new variants
He said that it was taking 15 days to a month for the patients to become negative in the second wave of corona. There were also cases of critical problem of lungs and post covid. In comparison, the third wave is not that dangerous. According to experts regarding the new variant Omicron, in the trends that have come to the fore so far, it is like a normal viral fever. Its positivity rate in the state is 6 percent, but 99 percent of the cases are of home isolation.
Continuous review is being done by contacting the Home Isolated people through the Integrated Control and Command Center. Medicine kits have been made available to home isolated people. Referring to the cases of corona in Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister said that there are 2241 active cases, out of which only 12 had to be admitted to the hospital i.e. only 0.5 percent of the cases required hospitalization. The remaining patients are in home isolation. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the corona virus is getting weaker now but still everyone has to be careful and vigilant. Everyone should follow the guide line set by the government.
