Noida: The electricity department in Noida has adopted a new method for payment of outstanding bills, it remains to be seen whether this method will work? In fact, for the payment of outstanding bills, the electricity department has opened another option to submit the bill. Giving information about this, Chief Engineer BN Singh said that now the people of remote villages of the district who do not know how to pay electricity bills online,
They also have to travel a long way to pay their bills. In view of their problem, now they can also deposit the bill at the government ration shop. All they have to do is give their consumer number to the kotedar, after which the rest of the work will be done online by the kotedar. No charge will be taken for this.
BN Singh said that 14 kotedars of the district have been trained for this, we monitor it every month, in which district officials and other senior officers are present. According to Singh, its effort was going on since last year, now it has been started with a few people. More ration shops may be added over time.
BN Singh says that this facility will be more beneficial for the people of the village. In Noida, 60 to 70 percent people pay electricity bills online. Sometimes it becomes difficult for villagers to make online submissions and travel far and wide for bill payments. Many times the connectivity of the mobile gets bad or they are not able to pay the bill online. In this case, this medium will come in handy.
