Saharanpur. In Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, great negligence of the Health Department has come to the fore. After cataract operation here, 27 people lost their eyesight simultaneously. There has been a stir here after the case of loss of light after an infection in the eyes. There is a lot of anger among the people about the health department. The medical department engaged in the operation is also shocked after this incident. Health department officials are currently trying to save themselves from this.
After the carelessness of the health department, the CMO was also surrounded by Hindu organizations after the lives of 27 people became dark at once. Till yesterday, the officials were denying this incident, but now when this news started making headlines, then the CMO of Saharanpur and the CMS of the district hospital are talking about the investigation of this whole matter.
It is being told that a camp was set up at Saharanpur District Hospital on December 2, where 27 people underwent eye surgery. A few days after the operation, burning and pus started coming in the eyes. In a hurry, the relatives showed those patients to different doctors. It is being told that all of them have lost their eyes. Some patients are admitted in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, while some patients are getting their treatment in Chandigarh’s PGI.
On this whole matter, Dr. Sanjeev Manglik, CMO of Saharanpur says that a committee is being formed to investigate the whole matter. Apart from private doctors, a panel of government doctors will also be formed in the committee which will investigate this entire incident. Where the negligence has come from and what has been the reason is being investigated. Action will be taken against the concerned doctor or employee on the basis of the truth which will come out only after the investigation.
