On Friday, the fourth day of NSS camp in Government College, Budaun, girl students celebrated as Health and Nutrition Day. During this, an awareness rally was also taken out in village Padua. The Rani Laxmibai unit of NSS took out a rally under the leadership of Program Officer Dr. Babita Yadav at Degree College located in Housing Development Colony of the city. During this, counseling was given to the malnourished adolescent girls and women in matters related to health and malnutrition. Dr. Babita Yadav said that women need more nutritious food. Due to malnutrition, pregnant and lactating women have to face many problems. Volunteers also presented street plays regarding good health. In the intellectual session, Assistant Professor of Zoology, Dr. Barkha gave his views as the keynote speaker. Said that volunteers should compulsorily include nutritious Indian food, yoga, exercise and sports in their daily routine.

Professor of Chemistry Dr Sarika Sharma explained in detail about the minerals and vitamins found in food items. Also suggested to take more and more vitamin rich diet. Dr. Sanjay Kumar called for a campaign to eradicate malpractices.
