During the voting in the assembly elections in Pratapgarh, the district administration is very alert about the sporadic ruckus that took place at many places. Police, PAC, BSF personnel were deployed in the area after polling. After the counting of votes, the police, PAC and CRPF personnel were increased for security after the results came.
This time, Kunda was very sensitive about the assembly elections from the beginning. During the election campaign, the atmosphere was heated due to the statements of SP candidate Gulshan Yadav, SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav. On the day of polling, incidents took place in many villages including Raiyapur, Paharpur Banohi, Kareti village, due to which the district administration remained alert. In view of the increasing tension, the SP increased patrolling in the sensitive villages of the area by employing three platoon PACs, dozens of constables, inspectors from the reserve police line.
Police increased patrol
A day before the counting of votes, the district administration deployed one platoon PAC, one platoon BSF personnel along with reserve police personnel in the area due to which no incident happened. In view of the increasing tension regarding victory and defeat after the counting of votes, SP Satpal Antil on Friday again sent a platoon PAC, CRPF personnel from the police line under the leadership of Inspector Girendra Yadav, Reserve Police Kunda. CO Ajit Singh has increased patrol with CRPF, PAC and Reserve Police personnel in Kunda, Manikpur, Hathigwan areas.
