Giving information about theft incident
On Thursday evening, thieves stole cash worth Rs 1.50 lakh including gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 10 lakh in a closed house of a person in Hakikat Nagar of Sadar Bazar, police station Kotwali of Saharanpur. The landlord had gone to Dehradun along with the family at the time of the incident. The police reached the information and started investigation into the matter.
The family went to Jolly Grant Hospital
Lalit Rana along with his family had gone for treatment at Jolly Grant Hospital in Mohalla Hakikat Nagar due to ill health. According to Lalit Rana, when he reached home on Thursday, all the belongings of the house were lying scattered. The thieves broke the locks of the cupboards and the house and cleaned their hands on cash and gold and silver jewelery worth about one and a half lakhs. According to Lalit Rana, these thieves carried out the incident between 8 and 9 in the morning.
BJP leader reached businessman’s house
On getting information about the theft incident, former MP Raghav Lakhan Pal and former MLA Rajiv Gumbar reached the spot. BJP leaders assured necessary action to the victim’s family. On information, the Kotwali Sadar Bazar police also inspected the spot and investigated.
Inspector Kotwali Sadar Bazar Harendra Singh says that the information of theft was received in Hakikat Nagar. Investigation is being done. Footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby will be checked. Efforts are on to get the matter unearthed soon.
