Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on 15 September released data According to this, Mukesh Ambani’s telecom giant Jio has added 29 lakh 40 thousand new subscribers in July. In June, the company had added 4 lakh 20 thousand new subscribers. There has also been an increase in the subscribers of Bharti Airtel. The company added 5 lakh new subscribers in July. Here Vodafone Idea has suffered and the company’s 15 lakh subscribers were reduced in July. State-owned telecom companies, BSNL and MTNL, have also lost their subscribers and both the companies have lost 1,327,999 and 3,038 mobile subscribers respectively.
According to the July database, Jio has the largest number of subscribers in India and their number is more than 415 million. After that the number comes Bharti Airtel, which has 363 million subscribers, and the third place is occupied by Vodafone Idea, which has 255 million subscribers. The data also shows that in July, 11 lakh users have been added to the number of telephone subscribers inside India.
The number of mobile network users in urban areas has increased to 650 million as against 640 million in June. TRAI data shows that the number of subscribers in rural areas has come down. Their number has come down from 52.38 crores to 52.32 crores. At present, mobile users in India are waiting for 5G. Reliance Jio and Airtel’s 5G services are going to start in India very soon. In this too, there is a possibility that Jio can win by launching the services first.
