Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday busted the terrorist module in the city of Srinagar and arrested four people. The police informed about this. A police spokesman said that during the investigation into the murder of a property dealer in Safakadal area of the city last month, the police came to know about the movement of some suspicious persons in Barzulla area.
He said that two suspects have been apprehended from Barzulla. The arrested terrorists have been identified as Suhail Qadir Khande and Suhail Mushtaq Waza, both residents of Pulwama district, he said. Two pistols, two magazines and 30 pistol cartridges have been recovered from them. The spokesman said that both Lashkar – e Taiba and Jaish – e – Mohammed are affiliated to terrorist organizations .
“On questioning the terrorists, incriminating material, arms and ammunition were recovered from their hideout in the city. The seizure includes two pistols, six pistol magazines, 69 cartridges and two silencers of the pistol.
He said that the arrested persons disclosed the names of two of his associates – Basit Bilal Makaya and Naiku Imad Nassar. Both of them were working with him as over ground workers. He said that both of them have been taken into custody.
Police said the arrested terrorists told that they were acting on the instructions of Asif Maqbool Dar based in Saudi Arabia and Sajad Gul based in Pakistan. “Both operators in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were providing weapons and money through a network of over-ground workers, who are being identified,” the spokesman said.
