Test on main track
The work of 9 km long elevated track prepared between IIT to Motijheel has been completed. Signaling work has also been completed. In such a situation, the metro is now going to start the trial on the main track. For the first time, the metro will be brought on the main track from the polytechnic ramp. At the same time, many sensors have also been installed for testing.

Test is going on in polytechnic depot
3 coaches of the metro were brought from the Sanwali plant in Gujarat. 3 more coaches have come to Kanpur. Now the testing of the first 3 coaches has been started. On Monday, the metro train was run on a 650 meter track built inside the polytechnic depot. 6 rounds were completed by the metro train at a speed of 15 kmph. The metro was run on DC current.
Trial will be done on DC current only
Electricity supply to the metro has not started yet. In such a situation, the metro will be charged from the supply of the generator itself. After this, the metro will be run on the main track only with DC current. At the same time, a metro train will run on the track for the first time. All the preparations regarding this were being completed till late Wednesday night. UP Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) MD Kumar Keshav has expressed happiness about this.

Final trial will start from November 15
Kanpur Metro has completed the work in record time. Now the metro has started preparations to facilitate the passengers as soon as possible. On November 15, the team of Chief of Railway Safety (CRS) of Railways will start conducting the tests. The team will conduct the test at a speed of 90 kmph. Metro can be started for public only after NOC from CRS. It is expected that in January people will be able to travel in the metro.
