This festival will start with Nahay Khai. On the next morning, the fasting women will end the fast by offering Arghya to Lord Surya. Municipal Corporation started work on the Ghats
The Municipal Corporation has started the work of beautifying the Panki Canal, Armapur Canal, Dada Nagar Canal Ghats. At the same time, pond digging work has also been started at Central Park, JP Park and other parks. Along with having a bath, on this day women will clean the houses and consume gourd vegetable and cooked rice. On the second day, on the fifth day of the month of Kartik, the married people will eat kheer made from sugarcane juice.

36 hours fasting
Women will observe Nirjala fast for 36 hours after taking bath. On the Shashti Tithi of Kartik month, the setting sun and the rising sun on Saptami, standing in the middle of the water, will offer Arghya. The married couple will apply vermilion in each other’s demand and will also bless them with unbroken good fortune.

Worship will be held on Chhath in Armapur, Panki Canal, CTI Canal Ghat, Saket Nagar Canal, Ganga Barrage, Gola Ghat, Siddhanath Ghat as well as in the pond to be built in Shastri Nagar.
