The incident took place near Moosapur Chowk of Kodha police station area where armed criminals riding a motorcycle robbed Rs 16 lakh from Arun Kumar, an employee of a car-riding cattle trader. Arun Kumar, who was a victim of the robbery, told that he is originally a resident of Siliguri and was going to Katihar Kheria Mawashi Haat for cattle shopping via Purnia.
During this, armed criminals fired three bullets, looted 16 lakh cash from them and then fled. After this incident of robbery, SP Jitendra Kumar, who reached the spot, told that the cattle trader was going to Kheria Cattle Haat of Katihar Khoda police station area for cattle shopping via Purnia via Madhepura, during which this incident happened.
Motorcycle riding criminals have carried out the incident of robbery. The SP said that the police has already uncovered the incidents in this area and this matter will also be resolved soon. Ravi Kumar, an eyewitness to the incident, who runs a paan shop near Musapur Chowk, said that four masked criminals, who came on two motorcycles, carried out the incident.
The robbers stopped the car and carried out the robbery incident. During this, the criminals have also fired three rounds with the intention of spreading panic. At present, the police have blocked the entire area and are making efforts to arrest the criminals soon.
