Lalitpur: Third degree woman was stripped, to suppress the matter, action with ailing husband in breach of peace

Lalitpur. The case of rape of the gangrape victim by the inspector had not cooled down yet that another incident of brutality of policemen has come to the fore in Lalitpur district. The scribe and female inspector posted at Mehrauni police station locked a woman in the room and gave her third degree. It is alleged that on suspicion of theft, both the policemen stripped the woman and beat her with a belt. To make the woman confess to the crime, water was showered with current. The victim was brought to the police station so that the matter did not catch up, where a dispute between husband and wife was taken and action was taken against her along with the ailing husband in disturbing the peace.

On Thursday, the victim, along with her family members, reached the SP office lying down in the car, and told the DIG the incident and demanded action against the police personnel. A woman resident of Mohalla under police station Mehrauni told in an application to the Superintendent of Police that she works as a cook and broom from April 14 at the house located near the post office of Anshu Patel, a policeman posted as a scribe in the Mehrauni police station. She returned home after preparing food in the morning on May 2. When she reached to cook food in the evening, Anshu Patel’s wife sat inside and closed the door. After this, after calling from mobile, called husband Anshu. Anshu brought with him the female inspector Parul Chandel and started questioning her regarding the theft. Anshu and the female inspector turned off the electricity from 8:00 pm, put a water cannon, stripped her and beat her with belts. The woman told that during the beating, she pleaded with the policemen to leave but the policemen’s heart did not sweat. Both the female inspector and the scribe beat her with a belt.

Meanwhile, after the news was shown on News18, a case has been registered against the accused police personnel Anshu, his wife and lady sub-inspector Parul Chandel. Also, both the policemen have been suspended. This action has been taken after the instructions of the Superintendent of Police.
