Counting of votes for four assembly seats of Mainpuri district including Karhal is being held on Thursday in the Naveen Mandi complex. The results of Mainpuri Sadar and Kishni seats will come first in the counting of votes. At last the result of Karhal seat will come.
The BJP has taken lead in two assembly seats of Mainpuri, the parliamentary constituency of SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav. Six rounds of counting of votes have been done in Bhogaon assembly, in which BJP’s Excise Minister Ram Naresh Agnihotri is leading over SP candidate by 6766 votes. In the sixth round from Mainpuri Sadar seat, BJP Jaiveer Singh has reached ahead of the SP candidate. There is a tough competition between the two.
Akhilesh Yadav ahead by 29 thousand votes in Karhal
SP candidate Akhilesh Yadav is leading by 29136 votes from Karhal assembly seat till the 10th round. Akhilesh Yadav has got 48379 votes so far. While BJP candidate SP Singh Baghel got 19243 votes. SP’s Brajesh Katheria is ahead of BJP candidate in Kishni for four rounds. Here too there is a tough fight between BJP and SP.
Counting is going on in total 56 tables
Counting of votes started in Naveen Mandi from 8 am on Thursday. 14 counting tables will be set up at the pandals of each assembly constituency. A total of 56 tables have been set up in the pandals of the four assembly constituencies for the counting of EVM votes. Due to this, the votes of 14 EVMs of an assembly will be counted in one round.
Thus, counting will be completed in 30 rounds in Mainpuri Sadar seat and Kishni seat, 33 rounds in Bhogaon seat and 34 rounds in Karhal seat. First of all the result of Mainpuri Sadar and Kishni seat will come. Due to the maximum number of polling places in Karhal seat being 475, rounds will also be the maximum 34. In such a situation, the result of Karhal seat will be declared at the very end.
