In the district hospital of Basti, the women and men who are operated upon are written from outside, from injections to medicines. The admitted patients allege that from the very first day, needles and medicines have to be bought from outside, which is very expensive. But Dr. Saheb prescribes medicines from outside saying that there are no better medicines inside the hospital. Therefore, medicines have to be bought from outside in compulsion.
Medicines that have to be taken from outside after the operation
Kaushalya Devi, a resident of Lalpur Majhoua admitted after the operation in the surgical ward, and Ram Pravesh, a resident of Ranibagh, a relative of two patients, Ketki, a resident of Mudiyar, told that all medicines and injections have to be bought from outside. Somehow the poor have to arrange money
Neelam, a resident of Trilokpur admitted in the ward, told that the uterus has been operated. Today is the fifth day. From the time of operation till now, all medicines and injections have to be bought from outside. By arranging money in some way or the other, they are coming by buying needle and medicine from outside.
Temdardars are not getting water
Most of the abdominal surgery patients are admitted in the surgical ward. The relatives of the patient told that the biggest problem here is water. We have to bring water from here to the CMO office near the temple or we have to buy water. Some people told that clean water has to be brought from home. There is no provision of clean water in the premises of the surgical ward. The hand pump and RO have been lying defunct for almost a year.
SIC Dr. Alok Verma told that sufficient medicines are available in the district hospital, if the medicine is being prescribed outside then it is wrong. If a patient needs any such medicine which is not in their record, then that is also arranged. Will investigate the matter of prescribing medicine outside.
