Court rejected the bail plea of the accused who molested a minor girl by entering the house in Jhansi. The court said that on the basis of the statement of the victim, prima facie the offense committed by the accused is of serious nature. Considering the gravity of the offence, the accused cannot be granted bail. This decision has been given by Special Judge (POCSO Act) Anjana.
The accused is in jail since March 2
The age of the victim is 16 years. She had given a complaint in Poonch police station that she was at home on 22 February. Then Anshu (25) son of Jarhakala village resident Phundilal entered the house. With the latch, he took off his clothes. When she screamed, she grabbed her throat, due to which the victim could not scream. After this the accused forced her and tore her clothes. Hearing the sound, the people of the village came. The accused Anshu then fled from the spot. The police registered a case and arrested the accused and sent him to jail. The accused is in jail since March 2.
Case registered under IPC and POCSO Act
On the statement of the victim, the police had registered a case under Section 354B, 452, Section II of the POCSO Act of the IPC. Recently, the accused had filed a bail application in the sessions court. Now hearing the petition, the court rejected the bail application of the accused.
