Talking about the size of this smog tower to be built in Noida, it will have 10,000 air filters, which will filter the air and 40 big fans will be installed which will throw out clean air. Experts say that about one km radius from such smog tower. Only the air can be cleaned.
According to a report, it will be equal to 20 meters i.e. about 7 floors. In this, the height of the concrete tower will be 20 meters, while there is a canopy of six meters above it. There are 10-10 fans all around its base. Each fan can throw 25 cubic meters per second, that is, a total of 1000 cubic meters of air can come out in one second. A total of 5000 filters have been installed in two layers inside the tower. Filters and fans are imported from America.

The upper part of the smog tower draws the polluted air from outside. With the help of 4 canopies made in all four directions, this polluted air reaches the filter. These filters remove the polluted particles from this air and then the filtered air is taken out through large fans. In this way, this tower takes the polluted air from outside and cleans it with a filter inside and then leaves the clean air outside.

Computational fluid dynamics modeling by IIT-Bombay suggests that a smog tower can have an impact on air quality up to one km from it. The actual impact will be assessed by IIT-Bombay and IIT-Delhi in a two-year pilot study, which will also determine how the tower works under varying weather conditions, and with wind flow. How does the level of PM 2.5 change? The Automated Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System present in the tower will monitor the air quality. These monitors will be installed at different distances from the tower, so that its effect can be assessed according to these distances.
